Baby's first steps!!!

Nicolas took his first steps this weekend!  It was amazing :)  He has only been able to take about 5 steps before falling but they are definitely steps.  I am one proud momma but at the same time kind of sad because I feel like I don't have a baby anymore :(  Here is a video of my little man....I love him so much!

11 Months!

Has another month seriously creeped up on us?!  I can't believe that our baby boy is just one month away from being a one year old!  Time really does fly when you are having fun :)

Nicolas continues to make us laugh every day.  He has developed such a great personality and has the best smile in the world.  At 11 months he is all over the place and getting into everything.  He knows the "hot spots" in the house where he is not supposed to go and of course usually finds his way to them.  His favorite toy is any type of ball.  He loves to throw balls across the room and make mommy and daddy get them.  He also loves to use his wagon or bike to push around so he can walk.

We recently discovered we have quite the little ham when we had our good friends Justin and Maggie over.  Nicolas was such a show off that Enrique and I were talking about it for about 2 days after the visit!  Nicolas was walking around the living room, just using one hand for support on his wagon and he was pulling out toys that he literally NEVER plays with!  He would just look up every now and then with a big grin on his face to make sure everyone was watching him....still debating on who he gets this from!

We are still getting mixed feedback on who our little man looks like.  There is no doubt that his facial expressions are 110% Enrique!  The way he moves his eyebrows and the way he can look at you and make you feel ridiculous with just a glance definitely come from his daddy.  His hair color and eyes might come from mommy though.  Enrique just says "he looks like a baby" so I guess we will go with that for now!

I love our little ham so much and every day just gets better and better as he discovers new things and develops more and more personality.  Seeing him at the end of my work day is definitely the highlight of every single day.  Lately I've been waking up earlier on weekends than on weekdays just because I'm excited to get to wake up and play with Nicolas rather than wake up and rush to get out of the door to get to work!

We are truly blessed to have this kiddo in our lives and I can't even remember what life was like before having Nicolas!  Without further adieu....here are his 11 month pictures!

I'm late posting this....it happened on June 12, 2012 just two days after turning 10 months.

You can hear the amazement in my voice as I gasp and hear how proud Enrique is in the background for this milestone....

We were so grateful to be able to witness Nicolas take his first assisted steps :)

First time swimming!

We took Nicolas swimming for the first time in May (yes, we went to the beach before swimming) and he LOVED it!  Enrique and I joke that we have a little water baby :)

Nicolas has always enjoyed splashing during bath time and the swimming pool was no different....here are a few pics and a video of the first time our little man got to experience a pool. We were at Grandma and Grandpa's in Houston.

Nicolas became a big cousin on June 21, 2012!  My sister Cortney had the most BEAUTIFUL baby girl:

Kayla Jane Roberts

7 lbs 2 ozs

I had class so we didn't get to drive to Houston to meet little Kayla until Saturday (BOOO!).  Nicolas had a great time meeting Kayla and getting to see his grandma, grandpa and Aunt Cortney and Tiffany and cousin William!  I have the pictures to prove that Kayla is insanely gorgeous!  We can't wait to see her again and Nicolas is very excited to have a new cousin to play with :)
