7 Month Photo Shoot

Nicolas is growing so fast!  He looks like such a little man in these photos!  LOVE HIM!

7 happy months :)

It feels as though it happened over night....Nicolas is 7 months old and he is getting so big and becoming so independent already!  There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at his precious face and become overwhelmed with how much I love him.  I can't even remember what life was like before Nicolas anymore....he truly has given everything a new meaning.

At 7 months our little man is curious and wants EVERYTHING in his hands and eventually mouth.  He has learned how to throw a little tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants but its really funny!  He just grunts...no crying or screaming and thrusts his legs up and down pointing towards whatever object Enrique or I have taken away from him (as we try to replace it with a toy).  We crack up every time he gets frustrated, which I know sounds mean but its just so funny!  He is such a determined little man!

We are still working on solids and it is not going well....I will post all about solids soon.

Right after Nicolas turned 7 months, he got pretty sick and had an ear infection and upper respiratory issues.  We ended up having to give him breathing treatments which was terrible to watch and just plain scary.  You never want to know that your baby is struggling to breathe.  I don't think Enrique and I slept for about a week while Nicolas was sick.  We found that it was easiest to try and give him his treatments while he was sleeping....

Other than that little hiccup, Nicolas warms my heart everyday.  He loves to laugh, play with toys, sit up and loves to watch the dogs.  He cracks up when the dogs get near him.  He still really enjoys his bouncer and his legs are so strong that sometimes I think he is going to jump right out!

Words can not even explain how much Nicolas means to Enrique and I and how much we both adore him.  Our little man is the center of our universe and we LOVE IT!

6 months old = half a year = cutest baby ever!

Well I've done it again blog followers (are you out there?) I have let 14 days pass by since Nicolas turned 6 months old before I posted an update!  Rather than saying for the sixth month in a row that I'm going to get better, I will just get on with the good stuff...the blogging :)

I can't believe our little man is halfway to the one year mark!  From what my friends with kids tell me its time to start planning his first birthday party....I know what you are thinking (unless you are one of my friends who told me this) that is INSANE.  Who has time to plan anything when you have this little guy that you can give all of your attention to....

At six months we are working on sitting up and Nicolas has become so good at it!  I just can't believe how fast he is growing and how independent he is becoming (which makes me so sad that he doesn't want to be held all the time).

Our six month appointment went well, Enrique and I were so proud of Nicolas, when he got his shots he let out one cry and that was it.....just one little "Whah" that lasted about 3 seconds and he was done.  The nurse looked at us and said "I haven't had that happen"  Such a brave little boy we have.  Here are the stats at 6 months:

Length:  27 1/4" (75%)

Weight: 15 lbs 7 oz (15%)

Head:  17" (40%)

Everyday seriously gets better and better with Nicolas, it is so neat to watch him discover new things.  I don't think there is a day that goes by that he doesn't have Enrique and I cracking up.  He is just such a funny little guy with an amazing personality.  I can have the absolute worst day at work and as soon as I walk into daycare and Nicolas looks up and smiles at me I completely forget about any stress.  I know I say this in every post, but I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!  I never knew what an overwhelming feeling motherhood would bring but its the absolute best.  I don't think anything else is ever going to compare to the feeling I get when I hold Nicolas and kiss those cute little cheeks.
